Sample artists seem to be over looked seeing as we! "Steal" Music from other people
According to other artist were conciderd respectless since we "Cant make up out own melodies"

sampling isnt all that creative, you gotta admit. i mean it takes skill to be able to chop and loop etc, but in the end its not 100% from your head. as a sampler, i realize this so i dont consider sampled songs as "songs", i call them beats. im adding a beat to a remixed sample basically. however, i am a musician as well so i see both sides of the arguments. i have beats and songs uploaded on my profile.

Dude, I do both. Atomic Noodle, my man, you must not be a very good sampler if you think it's less creative...I microsample and believe me, finding those little 1-2 note hits and throwing those hoes together in new ways than the original artist had ever dreamed of is creative. Sampling is no different than using the A-C-E chord progression on a piano or guitar, because in the end, a million other people have already done it. And yet there are still brand new songs with that exact progression every day, because it's not that one thing that makes a track new, fresh, or whatever; it's the entire track as a whole, the vibe you get from it, the way you use it, etc. that gives it the life it needs. Otherwise, music would've died off when 4/4 time and Pentatonic mode were first born, because the VAST majority of music across most major genres now fits that mold, and yet there's always something new.

Plenty of well known hip-hop artists on newgrounds (War-Spawn for example, his shit owns) use samples and arent criticized.

And here's my view on samplers/sampling:
Sampling is ite... it's not hard to do... the only thing i find difficult about it is equalizing and mastering the shitty clips you find to purify the sound to get a more chrisp, hi-fi sound (or if u consider yourself an old skool producer den lo-fi) to match the feel of the theme.. but i respect original producers more than samplers (anyday) because anybody can take a hot melody and make it better but not much can make a hot melody and go further with it.
I say Sampling and producers who keep it real (original) shouldn't be compared in the same category. I find it unfair in a way

Sampling = win.
Not only do you get the nostalgia and feeling from the ORIGINAL song, but also whatever the artist decides to accompany it with, which can create a whole plethora of feelings / emotions that one can't truly explain in words other than AWESOME.
Samplers > Pre-Made Loopers.

Aw, someone used me as a reference. I'm full of glee.
But seriously though, most of the time even what I sample is sought as blatant stealing. I just go with the flow, because the people who've worked with me knows how I get down, and dudes can inform the nonbelievers how crazy I chop ANY sample.
And going off what atomic-noodle said, any 'song' without lyrics I consider a beat. Unless it's intention is not to be rapped on, then that's when it could be classified as a song since it is complete. You can't have a song without vocals unless you're aiming for full instrumental value.
On the other note, there's no song that's 100% from your head. Everything is influenced by something, therefore a slight imitation (I use this word respectively.) But even when it comes down to it, composed music will always have more of a percentage of originality, but you can never get the same sound as you would with a sample.
I rest my case. Enjoy yourself gentlemen.
